Our History

Offering Dedicated, Compassionate Care Since 1956

APPOINTMENT

We provide compassionate pet care to St. Louis and beyond.

Yorkshire Animal Hospital has served the pets and their owners of Affton, Crestwood, Webster Groves, and the surrounding communities since 1956. After five years in a mixed animal practice and five years working in the industry, Dr. Dale Diesel joined the Yorkshire Animal Hospital staff in October 1992. On July 1, 1993, he became the practice owner.

Dr. Diesel worked as the sole practitioner for 23 years. In November 2016, he sold the practice to Heartland Veterinary Partners, giving him more time to focus on his passion for patient and client care and less time worrying about administrative processes and procedures.

In September 2020, Dr. Daniel Boggs joined the Yorkshire Animal Hospital staff. He brought extensive experience in companion animal medicine from practicing in general practice, emergency, and critical care settings while providing veterinary relief work across multiple states. Dr. Boggs also has experience and passion for equine medicine and still practices in his home state of Louisiana.

Yorkshire Animal Hospital encompasses a diligent and competent staff of registered veterinary technicians, veterinary assistants, and an experienced groomer that provides superior care for our canine and feline patients, emphasizing preventive medicine and client knowledge.

Continuing to strive for the best quality medicine, we have upgraded our diagnostic equipment, adding ultrasound capabilities to help further assess advanced medical cases. Another upgrade we added includes dental X-ray capabilities, which provides knowledge of problems hidden below the gum line to ensure a healthier mouth.

As the practice continues to grow, Yorkshire Animal Hospital plans to provide advanced diagnostic and treatment protocols to continuously increase the quality of care for your pets while keeping the warm, welcoming feeling when you walk through our door.
